Behavioral Health Organization (BHO) & Managed Care Organization (MCO)
Each county in the state of Washington has a designated BHO/MCO that has a contract with the Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery to administer all public mental health services within their region (WAC 388-865-0200).
One of the responsibilities of the BHO/MCO is to refer children to the CLIP Administration only after a comprehensive assessment of their needs and a concerted effort to provide alternative community based services.
Every county in Washington State is part of a BHO/MCO and every BHO/MCO has a designee who can speak to you about their local process and services. Click here to locate your local BHO/MCO representative.
