CLIP Programs

CLIP Programs are licensed by the Department of Health as Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and are certified Evaluation and Treatment facilities. All CLIP programs meet the Federal Standards for providing psychiatric inpatient care to children and adolescents.

There are five CLIP programs throughout the state of Washington with a total 89 CLIP beds. The five programs are:

  • Child Study and Treatment Center (CSTC), Lakewood
  • Sunstone Youth Treatment Center (Navos), Burien
  • Pearl Street Center, TacomaMap
  • Tamarack Center, Spokane
  • Two Rivers Landing, Yakima

Core services provided at each programs includes:

  • Individualized evaluations, assessments and care plans
  • 24 hour psychiatric and nursing care
  • Medication, as needed
  • Safe, structured environment
  • Crisis stabilization
  • Behavior management
  • Family, group and individual therapy
  • Full educational program on site
  • social work/case management
  • Recreational, expressive, and leisure therapy
  • Social skills development
  • Dietary assessment and monitoring
  • Occupational therapy
  • Parent support and advocacy
  • Chemical dependency assessments and treatment
