CLIP PROGRAMS

The following core services are available at each program:

  • Individualized evaluations, assessments and care plans
  • 24 hour psychiatric and nursing care
  • Medication, as needed
  • Safe, structured environment
  • Crisis stabilization
  • Behavior management
  • Family, group and individual therapy
  • Full educational program on site
  • Social work/case management
  • Recreational, expressive, and leisure therapy
  • Social skills development
  • Dietary assessments and monitoring
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Parent support and advocacy
  • Chemical dependency assessments and treatment

CLIP Programs are licensed by the department of Health as psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and are certified Evaluation and Treatment facilities. All CLIP programs meet the Federal Standards for providing psychiatric inpatient care to children and adolescents.

 

There are five CLIP programs throughout the state of Washington. with a total of 86 CLIP beds. The five programs are, Child Study and Treatment Center in Tacoma, Navos Residential in Burien, Pearl Street Center in Tacoma, Tamarack Center in Spokane, and Two Rivers Landing in Yakima.

Child Study and Treatment Center (CSTC)

The Child Study and Treatment Center (CSTC), is located in Lakewood, WA is the only state-operated and funded psychiatric hospital for children and youth. CSTC has 47 publicly funded beds distributed across three cottages.

 

Camano Cottage serves children 6 to 11 years old.

Ketron Cottage serves children 12 to 14 years old.

Orcas Cottage serves children 14 to 17 years old.

Navos Residential

The Pearl Street Center is a Psychiatric Residence Treatment Facility operated by the Tacoma Comprehensive Life Resources. It is located in Tacoma in a mixed residential/business neighborhood. Pearl Street has 12 publicly funded CLIP beds.

Tamarack Center is a 16 bed adolescent psychiatric residential treatment center located in Spokane, WA that serves youths ages 12 to 17. The sixteen beds are both publicly funded through the CLIP system as well as through private insurance companies.

Two Rivers Landing is an Evaluation and Treatment/Residential Treatment Facility operated by Comprehensive Healthcare. It is located in Yakima, Washington. Two Rivers Landing has a total of 6 CLIP beds.
